Teacher training and leadership development

Developing the people who run a school decides whether it succeeds, so GSE treats it as core work rather than an add-on. We build the teams that open a new school, and we develop the leaders and teachers already inside one. It is the same work our own schools depend on, and it has run across more than a dozen countries.

How we develop people

Teacher development

Our teacher development work rests on a straightforward belief: almost any teacher can become a strong one, given sustained development rather than a single burst of training. Our Teacher Development Programme sets aside the “teach everything at once” model in favour of coaching that happens in the classroom, over time, so that new practice takes hold rather than fading once the workshop ends.

Leadership development

Running a school is its own discipline, and we develop the people who do it. This is grounded in the founders’ own careers, including a statewide programme training principals in Australia and an administrator leadership programme built for one of the largest school districts in the United States. We coach heads and senior leaders already in post, and prepare the layer coming up beneath them.

Building and preparing a team

Opening a school means recruiting and readying a staff, often across many nationalities, to a single standard. We build the recruitment, screening and training systems that do it, and we have run that work in more than a dozen countries. Teacher recruitment and professional development are handled as one process, not two.

Beyond schools

The same capability extends to institutions and organisations that develop their own people, from corporate training to leadership programmes for education groups.
