Global Services in Education has been appointed to manage GFH Alia School, formerly Alia National School, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The engagement began earlier this year and moves into full operation from the start of the 2026/27 academic year in August.
GFH Alia School is a founder-led school with a clear and established mission. GSE takes on full management of the school under a long-term management contract, working directly in partnership with the founder and Board. Day-to-day academic and operational leadership sits with GSE. The mission and direction of the school stay with the people who built it.
Next month, in August, the school relocates to a new campus in West Riffa, a site chosen to house the school as it grows. What does not change with the address is the founding conviction: every child taught as an individual, no student anonymous.
Work is already under way, beginning with a full review of the school across academics, operations and finance. That review is shaping the plan for the years ahead.
Greg Parry, Co-Founder and CEO of GSE, said the structure reflects how GSE approaches schools with strong founding identities. “The easiest mistake a management organisation can make is treating every school the same. This school has been built with real purpose. Our job is to strengthen what exists, not replace it.”
Shanna Parry, Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner, will lead the partnership alongside Greg, with regular on-site engagement in Bahrain and structured reporting to the Board.
GFH Alia School is the latest of 39 school projects GSE has delivered across 16 countries.
